It has not rained for many weeks,
The little tree is thirsty.
It’s leaves and twigs are falling down,
They pile up all around.
Then one day it starts to rain,
It rains for weeks and days and days.
The little tree grows tall and green,
It really needs to be seen!
Now the tree is home to possums and birds,
The birds are the best as they live in a nest,
The babies sing and tweet ‘cheep cheep!’,
They are only silent when they are asleep.
So the little tree is not so small,
It has grown so very tall!
