When darkness comes, it destroys, not kills
Warping me into its terror
I wait for a word, a peep, or a sound
But all I hear is fear
Alone, with no hope of anyone
Freeing me from this cage
These chains have never felt so tight
Their wrath showing their rage,
All alone, in a cave of my own
The dragon roars inside me
It sends my lungs searing in pain
But there's no one there to help me
The sky turns a bleary grey,
Swirling with a cold,dark mist
For darkness has won this battle
Nothing can save me now
