Two distant lovers, never to be one, the moon forever chasing the sun
The warm sunny yellows always seem to fade
And the sharpness of the moon pierces the night sky like a blade.
the sun falls to its knees at the turn of the night, swallowed by the sea
And the moon cries tears of stars, making the sky sparkly
The moon watches the sun, its brightest star, while the moon lets the sun glow from a far.
The moon longs to light up the day, and when dusk ends, to stay
The sun wishes they could control the tides
To glow with the moon when the day subsides.
But
The Sun needs the Moon, to keep the night lit bright.
The Moon needs the Sun, to produce his shining light.
Although they are distant, their love never strays,
At the turn of the night and the beginning of the day.
