A Heart Beat Of Hope

I close my eyes,
As i sit down ready to pray,
The ground becomes more fragile,
As the sky glooms with grey,
But still no rain.
I watch the animals as they all lay,
Too hear gunshots from far away,
Our hope is still strong for me everyday,
I know that god is looking over us,
As he wishes it will go away,
The hay bay becomes more crisp and dry,
As we all say our goodbyes and agree,
Too knock it down,
But soon our life gets turned around as,
We get little money for the barn,
So it means we can’t feed the farm.
