We are here now,
Tomorrow we may be gone.
But the world will still keep turning,
Life will soon forget us,
For that is the cruel beauty of time
It slips through the fingers
Of those who need it most.
Never enough of it,
To cherish what we have before it’s gone,
For that is the cruel beauty of time.
Time will never stop for us,
Even when we so desperately need it to,
Even when our whole world comes crashing down,
Even when we get left behind.
For that is the cruel beauty of time.
