The Breezy Days Of Autumn

A time of crisp air and long darkness,
a time of trees alike that shed,
their royal glow and glorious graciousness,
their uncontested coats of yellow and red.
The invigorating sunshine heats the land,
while flocks of birds block out the skies,
breezes sooth my feet and hands,
the heatwaves cease, the daylight dies.
Dry leaves perish beneath my footsteps,
calming colours explode and spread,
along the ground littered with dampness,
blinding me and hurting my head.
Its sheer greatness is like that of a lion,
towering proudly over its kingdom,
full of the highlighted smell of the land and the sky in,
this majestic earth full of beauty and wisdom.
