To Fall Asleep

The light fades, silence surrounds
One’s soul soars to another ground
A motion picture inaugurates like a flashlight
What will the mind imitate tonight?
Resembling an Illusionist, the mind conforms
Manipulating the victim like a senseless puppet
Igniting corruption, complexity or content within
But which shall it be tonight?
Crystalline shards of a vision collide
Illuminating a euphoric path within
A spectacular phantasm, a picturesque mirage
For they say, the mind dreams what the heart desires.
With a blink of the eye, the vision withers away
Leaving no trace of the happenings to display
The trees are singing and the sun radiates with light
But the Illusionist will return, tomorrow night.
