You throw them into your trucks
Their bodies hit the walls
Their bones crack and their limbs ache
But the truck still rambles on
So used to the injustice,
So accustomed to the pain
‘Why?’ these suffering animals want to ask,
‘Do you have to be so inhumane?’
You kill them, no matter what age
The innocent young and the helpless old: all have the same fate
But we know no one, not anyone of you
Will change these evil ways
However, the future generations like us
Provide a small flickering light of hope
Because we learn from you, our parents -
Your deliberate cruel mistakes
