Elysium

The dog is at the gate, welcoming
From two gold pills and a short trip,
Three heavy heads will swivel, and a serpent-like tail will slash
As I walk by Elysium in the dreaded, welcome Hades corner
and the Field of Punishment rushes up to meet my sight,
where I sink below the cushion of dead weeds,
And wake on a pillow, full of longing
