The Book

I am a small special book.
Sad people pick me up,
They read me and smile.
They become happy.
There are many sad people,
Too many in this world.
When those sad people pick me up,
They look at me as if I’m a joke,
And my pages say “go spread joy”.
It may only be one person,
Or more than I am aware of.
In time, I hope that no one will be sad.
But I can only hope that this will be so,
Because people don’t change easily.
Hope is the most powerful tool we have,
And we need to use it more often.
