Train Of Thought

My train of thought, it chugs along,
cheerfully singing its own song,
but sometimes while I'm checking facts,
oblivious people destroy the tracks.
My train of thought, it must be stoked,
with good information,
and none should poke,
fun at it,
'cause it makes me distraught,
when people disrupt my train of thought.
My train of thought, sometimes I've failed,
to stop this train from getting derailed,
and then it will run away from the track,
and it's rather hard to call it back.
And presently where does my train of thought roam?
It runs on the track of a very good poem.
