One foot in front of the other, Those storms that you create,
Tears that you make me wear like jewels.
One more tread, Don’t trip as you hold your possessions,
Or I may be able to look you in the eye.
One more leap forward, Don’t look down,
You wouldn’t want to see who you’re treading on.
One more step, looking up, to be only blinded by the sun,
Never really being down to earth.
A skip, stepping on me,
Creating that perfect rain storm.
A jump, speaking words that were never once filled,
mine are filled with that rain you make.
Edging closer, skies are clear when you want them to be,
They’re grey when you decide.
Standing on my shoulders, hold your head high,
And enjoy your exclusive sunrise
