Heart Valve Winner

This year has been a tricky one,
Right from the very start.
A brand new town, and brand new school,
And my daddy needs surgery on his heart.

When he was born, his valve was not quite right,
And ticked a little bit out of tune.
But this will all be fixed and better,
And he’ll be home again by June.

With my mummy and my brother and sisters,
We will all be strong together.
Because even if it’s raining or sunny and bright,
We stick together any weather.

We know the surgeons at the heart hospital,
Will make sure our daddy is a valve winner!
And for the next few months, while he’s getting better…
I’ll make him his breakfast, lunch and dinner.
