Why must innocent mankind suffer through pain?
People fighting viciously over rugged terrain
Hundreds and thousands die
But no one hears their cries
They fight on their seniors commands
But for what a little piece of land
At home they wait for him to come home, his relatives
But little do they know that he has died because of explosives
As they see his dead body, they are overcome with grief
The whole family now in disbelief
Those who have sacrificed their lives are given a salute
But no one comes and pays tribute
Just to make a statement the politicians mourn
But at home there they are torn apart figures who are forlorn
Why must we fight
Can we not solve the problem without losing lives, upright
