Girl In The Mirror

Tonight the girl in the mirror told me she loved me
This is a phrase I hadn't heard from her in a while
She looked into my eyes and spoke of every beautiful thing she saw in me
These words pouring from her mouth as sweet as honey
Fell in open wounds from the past
Stinging and burning with the promise of healing them
But so painful all she could do was wash them away
