Was This A Dream?

As I gaze out the window all I can see,
Is the shimmering, wet raindrops falling into the sea.
They sparkle as they make a great splash,
Into the wet as fast a flash.
The raindrops splash onto the pavement,
And runs down the hill as quick as a dash.
I keep on gazing in hope of amazement,
Then I spot a shimmering, dark, black cat.
In need of a home, and help and care,
I race downstairs to see what’s there.
I sneak outside making sure I’m not seen,
But the cat is gone and out of sight.
I sneak back inside,
Everyone’s asleep.
I go back to bed and wonder,
Was this a dream?
