Maybe we were mean to you.
That might be why you treat us this way.
Maybe we told you, society you look too fat.
So you tell us the same everyday.
You tell my friends what they can and can’t wear,
How they should have their hair,
and that they should cover up their bodies down there.
Dear society you are a mask.
We grew up to think that you loved us.
But as we got older we knew, to you we are just a task.
A task to damage like a boxing bag that gets punched
day after day with new expectations.
We are not footballs to be kicked around
With your new idea of beauty fixations.
Dear society I think I speak for everyone when I say.
society please stop.
