I was too young to love you
But there’s a dullness to the sun
Your candle burned too brightly
It’s the good who die young
Now that I'm older
I see that you were true
Your voice fills my conscience
When I walk the avenues
You showed me how to live my life
To laugh more than I cry
You taught me how to love again
And how to say goodbye
I never thought you'd mean so much,
The angel near the sun
"Things happen for a reason"
So, why do the good die young?
