Yelling, screaming, fighting, crying,
You wonder if this pain will end,
The noise is gently, slowly dying,
What if your pain will never transcend?
You hear your father yelling
You see your mother crying,
A bruise on her arm is a new scar,
You want to run away,
And never ever come back
Your mother's safety is your biggest concern,
But you have your little sister in your arms
crying for her mother,
This is life for me.
School is like a holiday
That I wish would never end.
