'later' they tell you. Don’t take risks, play it safe, reap the rewards
and dreams will come Later
'soon' they tell you. Don’t aspire to that yet. What if “that” happens.
you’ll regret it, dreams will come soon.
in a while they tell you. Just stick with this.
You may not love it. But at least there are no ‘dangers’
Dreams will come in a while
but what if they’re wrong? I refuse to accept they’ve brainwashed us
blown out our candles, blocked out the sun, stolen our memories.
We continue to make excuses.
i ask my Dad - what is your dream. ‘To become a sports journalist’
i ask my mum - what is your dream ‘To write a book’
Then I ask - ‘when will you do it?’
The same answers - later, soon, in a while.
But what if there is no later, there is no soon, there is no in a while?
I tell you. Take risks. Don’t play it safe. Reap the rewards. Dream Now.
