Taking Flight

Through the moss-covered trees,
In the early morning breeze,
A hungry heron waits stiff and still...
His razor-sharp beak,
Reaches towards the creek,
ready to catch his food...
He leans over a log,
Peering through the fog,
into a miniature sea...
He sees his chance.
He makes his move.
His sharp beak pierces through...
He's happy now,
He's caught a trout!
And he flies back to the rest of his crew...
