Glenelg you are like a big fun parlour
Look at the teenage boys
Smiling as one slips on a dropped ice cream
Skateboard sounds louder than the tram
Glenelg you are a maze
Fishing rods and crab nets rattle in a trolley
Watching the ocean like a hawk
Glenelg you hold your visitors until sun drops down
A sniff of ice cream
The taste of sea salt
Below your distant horizon
And traders drop their shutters
To end another day
I ride home on the last tram with
The cool breeze by my side
With fellow travellers
