Mirrored Girl

Each night I wondered
who this girl could really be.
The girl that followed my every move,
the girl that copied me.

Every night I asked her,
"Who are you really, girl?"
All she did was repeat my words
as she played with her golden curls.

Each night I dreamed of freeing her
from behind the glass,
the mirror which was her prison,
and being with her at last.

So that I could talk to her,
talk about our past.
Someone who would be the same,
but I needed to free her fast.
