Falling, crashing, my heart like summers tide waves on a golden beach bay
Allowing the warmth of your light, your sun, to heat my skin and warm my soul
Loving to swim, to splash, to feel the freedom as on the sands of time I lay
Lost as a girl down the rabbit hole, lost I was in the enchantment of the role.
In the theatre of space and time, this character I played believed
Nothing I thought impossible could never be achieved
Gaining courage as my heart did race and pound
I found myself in front of you, your smiles beauty one to forever astound
Never had I felt such fear as begged my estranged heart to speak
Longing turned to lose, my future beginning to look bleak
Over the horizon, a ray of the sun so gorgeously bittersweet
Ventured to wake me from the riveting depths of sleep
“Every time…” I whispered. “Next time, they’ll know”
Now you see these words, feel these words as someone comes to mind
Do you wish to know what these feelings mean?
Retrace to the beginning and view the first letter of every line.
