Fading Dusk

Crickets playing their songs as the crescent moon arises over a sea of lights
Softly the afternoon sky fades to twilight as stars shine brightly above, cascading fragments of light to the Earth below
A world caught in a moment of everlasting perfection
Before long dusk has left behind a vastness of dark, contrasting the glow of a population slowly shifting toward calamity
