Earth Needs Saving!

I couldn’t believe my eyes, what a terrible sight.  
I was so ashamed, so I kept it out of mind.  
Was this really what we had done to the earth? 
There was litter everywhere, from canada to perth!  
Were we responsible, was it all our fault?  
That earths cleanness had come to a halt? 
It was our fault, it was because of us!  
That the elephants didn't have any tusks!  
With our hunting and pollution, our war and hate,  
We ruined the earth, and now it could be too late.  
Was the reason this had happened because we had no hope?  
No, it was because we just couldn’t cope.  
We couldn’t cope with keeping earth clean,  
So we soon became more than just really mean.  
We polluted, we fought, we hunted everything,  
We ignored the guilt, we ignored the ping.  
The ping that told us that we had to stop!  
We didn’t listen, so now the sun will pop.
