Wait and See

@A dream realised add and an acceptance for a promising future playing soccer
@A dream snatched and a diagnosis of Perthes was a real shocker.
@Everything I had known and loved became something I couldn’t do.
@An acceptance for a rare disease I didn’t ask for has me blue.
@It is hard watching others do what I can no longer.
@My hip bone needs to grow and become stronger.
@“But how long do I have wait? “
@“Why have I developed a walking gait? “
@The pain comes and goes
@“How much longer? “ “Who knows? “
@“18 months to 3 years “the drs tell me
@“We have to wait and see”.
@“Each perthes kids journey is different. We don’t know what to expect.”
@This non weight bearing journey is a lot to handle and has me wrecked.
@All I want is to play soccer again. I want to run and be free.
@I am met with “let’s wait and see”
