One, two, one, two, one,
The race has just begun.
Down a drop of fifteen feet,
Praying that i'm correctly positioned in the seat.
Looking ahead around the burm* I go,
Pulling on the Hayes Nines** to ensure I slow.
Going around the burm so fast,
I pray my leg doesn't end up in a cast.
Carefully I head towards the end,
Then I overlook a tricky bend.
I come off my bike so very fast,
That in the end my leg ends up in a cast.
*burm-is a corner on a bike track.
**Hayes Nines-Brakes on bike.
