I wander through a lonely street,
As raindrops fall at my feet.
Raindrops that have come to say,
I’ve come to wash the pain away.
Raindrops that fall from up above,
Oh, this is what I truly love.
The love that I have for this rain,
Is what helps me to hide my pain.
Pitter, patter, on the ground,
While I’m hurting but can’t make a sound.
Tears are streaming down my cheek,
But thanks to rain, I don’t have to speak.
As I lay myself down to bed,
Raindrops fall upon my head.
One by one, I close an eye,
Because rain and I need to say goodbye.
