Finally Ended

Silence has fallen amongst the wounded
Brothers of the injured fall on the ground in despair
Cries of pain gather with the families of the dead veterans
Sadness falls on the boat until it was overwhelmed with miserable souls.
Thousands of souls happy to be home
but all I can think about is the friends I could have saved
but are left lying on the ground dead.
Hopeful families waiting,
but they never came back to greet them
Hats tossed in the air as they landed in Sydney
