I am polite and sweet
I wonder what my future’s going to look like
I hear unicorns cry
I see flying muddy pigs
I want to do it all over again

I pretend I am a princess
I feel angel’s wings
I worry about violence
I cry because I get in trouble
But, I am polite and sweet

I understand you’re nice and sweet
I say kids are our future
I dream for a quiet day
I try my best in all areas
I hope for a good year ahead
And still, I am polite and sweet
