For months I've been waiting, my love not fading.
As I waited for him to come home.
The clock kept spinning, as I wondered if he was winning.
As I waited for him to come home.
Waiting for a day, waiting for a month, my life feeling grey.
As I waited for him to come home.
Knock knock who's there, I sprung out of my chair.
As I waited for him to come home.
I opened the door and saw a man standing tall.
As I waited for him to come home.
As I realized he wasn't my lover, it made my heart stutter.
As I waited for him to come home.
He handed me a letter, which did not make me feel better.
As I waited for him to come home.
As I stand here and prey, there was nothing to say.
As I knew he would never come home.
