Here I am, standing at these eerily quiet crossroads of indecision
Ready to embark on choosing my road of pursuit
Many roads to choose from, each with distinct outcomes, both rewarding yet regretful
And as I wait, oh, the most beautiful roses bloom so majestically, so elegantly on the side of each road
All contrasting in their strikingly arresting colour, bold definitive shape and sweet pleasurable smell
Yet, each with their fiercely cutting thorns of penetrating pain
Which should I be lured to?
For I hate to sacrifice one great opportunity for another
But I fear the dire consequences each is associated with
And if I wait too long, the roses may start to shrivel and close up
One after the other, each opportunity that I could have embarked upon may melt through my hands
And yet I am tremendously paralysed by the fear of choosing wrongly
I wish I could see ahead past the uncertain twists and turns
Which road should I choose?
My hope is that the road I choose leads me on the right path
Journeying through life experiencing opportunities and fulfilment
