MUM GETS ME READY
Scrub your teeth,
Wash your hands and
neatly comb your hair,
let me put some sunblock on your skin so fair.
I packed you a healthy lunch of nuts and fruit,
I wonder if I should’ve made you wear a suit.
My! those creases on your jeans are neat,
Oh! Don’t you look a treat so off you go!.
I get myself ready
Card tricks in my carry bag bubblegum in my pocket,
fully loaded water gun – better not drop it.
Stained my shirt with oaties oats,
Mum won’t be happy, better put on coat.
Got my remote control SUV for tell and show,
“come on mum your driving to slow.”
My mum drops me off and I say “bye mum”, then I said to myself another day has just begun.
