How can you ask me to turn a blind eye
When her fragile heart was broken by your lie
How can I drown myself in silence
When her soul has been tortured by violence
How can I sleep while knowing the reason
As she prays day and night for her freedom
How can you stand so tall with pride
When you know that she is dead inside
How can anyone enjoy their day
When her presence has been locked away
How can her parents be at peace from above
Witnessing their daughter's life threatened by love
I write this letter as a way to thank you
And an apology for all you went through
