Flames in the darkness
Flickering, steadily they grow;
Bringing light from shadows.
Oh! my dear flames of Hope.
They light up the dark night,
Quiet corners and hollow souls.
All secrets uncovered,
Where nothing remains untold.
Giving hope to even demons of dark,
Whose despairing cries echo
Through their shadowy lairs
And shrivelled meadows.
Oh! she spreads Hope to all
When life does feel sorrows, she’s always near.
She will come, do not feel her disappear
Oh my flame of Hope; I shall have nothing to fear.
