Finalist in the 'The Inside Story 2020' competition

The wind blows, the trees sway
The sky is blue, what a beautiful day
The clouds aloft, soft and white
Birds soaring ahead, what a wondrous sight
And in the grass the flowers lay
Like miniature rainbows on a rainy day
The leaves a hue of green so bright
They compete with the suns blinding light
But just like that the clouds go grey
It's about to pour, a storm's on its way
The thunder claps, the ground shakes
And oh, what a colossal sound it makes
The lightning strikes, summoning blazing light
Turning darkness into white
But the sky turns clear, and everything is safe
A rainbow appears, shining in your face.
