The wind shall blow cold on this night of dread
The darkness engulfing the land
On it’s journey to fulfill the night.
The last drop of sunlight
Slowly melts away,
Leaving only blackness in its wake.
I suddenly feel very alone.
No one to comfort me,
Nowhere to call home.
The darkness is taking control.
I feel as though
I will never see daylight again.
The wind picks up its force
And I take shelter under a tree.
It has blown cold on that night of dread
But at least I'm still living.
