I was never one for happy endings,
and I know that now to be true,
for soon you’ll reach the last chapter,
that’s the last I’ll have of you.
If you look closely enough,
It’s still the same moon,
Bright, white, and mellow,
The one I would’ve gotten you.
But today’s your last chapter,
Before I close the book,
One which I stared at with a curious look,
Don’t be sad,
Now that I’m gone,
Because I’m sure in the end we will both move on.
