Smoke engulfs the sky,
Animals scramble for safety.
There is fear in the air.
Heat smothers the island,
A low rumble fills the atmosphere,
The peace has been ravaged.
Lava pours down the mountainside,
Sparks and embers fly everywhere.
Cinders are scattered along the rocks,
Greenery turns to ash.
The volcano has erupted.
