Call of the angels

If angels could sing
They would sound like birds,
A harp that strings a bitter cord.
No conductor could tame it,
No breeze would carry its purity
Only the crying child might hear its call.
Light would reflect its vibrations
And burn the ears of God.
For nothing but innocence
Could contain such a poignant song
