what if taste is an illusion?
what if the sensation from eating substances
is what we think it tastes like
rather than how it actually tastes?

once a judgement is made, the human mind
finds it very difficult to change its mentality
as if it is too stubborn to rewire connections
to make new assumptions

therefore, we do not taste what is real
but what we want to be real

in making this statement, one must also wonder
if the other senses are a mirage
if sight, touch, sound, and smell are deceptions
the body’s way of making life interesting
