Tied together with invisible strings
Connected by longing and pining
Betrayed by their judgement
A lack of control over conscience
We learn to accept our fate
That it’s pointless—this resistance
That even if the world is not on our side
Destiny is false and we make our own decisions
Far away, but close to heart
Distance and screens keep them apart
For there never was an ending with happiness or joy
There never was a story of more woe
Than this of Juliet and her Romeo (and of this, they know)
