My head holds stories that are not mine,
Quest arcs and plot lines - none my design,
Narratives dripping in dredges of ink,
Memories forming, but still indistinct.
I witness triumphs, stumbles and falls,
But I’m never truly a part of it all.
So many stories spinning around others,
Fantasy princes, enemies to lovers,
Spaceship commanders, brave archetypes,
twisted villains and all the like.
So many stories, but not one is for me,
I’m the narrator, the voice no-one sees,
The faceless, nameless, invisible timbre,
Lurking behind every visible wonder.
Sometimes I imagine how it would be,
To have a story,
that belongs to me.
