who are you to shackle our wrists?
tie up our hands and speak with your fists?
how can you sleep when you cause all this pain?
causing children to cry and buildings to cave?
brains turned rotten by your unsatisfied greed
like starving lions, you sink in with your teeth
you keep taking more until nothing remains
we beg for mercy, yet it brings us more pain
no more! we shout, you shall not keep us down
we hold our heads high even though our arms are bound
we stare into glazed eyes as our spirits are set free
even though you kill us, we live on in memory
