Hearts Of The Liars

How do such silken words, such seductive, honey-sweet stories
told with a tongue dipped in silver,
that bewitch, enthral and ensnare these feeble minds,
brew in hearts maligned with such foul intent?
Hearts that reek of decay,
filled with naught but the starless black of midnight?
These hearts are the pulse of a thousand drums,
the tarnish that stains like darkest ink,
flooding, drowning out all pleas for justice and reason.
The vultures hide behind a façade,
“Tolerance and safety” are their barricade –
all the while they infest the most innocent minds with lies,
and coat the purest hands in their own filth and blood.
A question, I beg of you now –
Will you allow this spark to burn? Will you stamp out this flame
before it devours our world?
