Old Days

Back in the day
people would never pout
horses wouldn’t bray
at fields kids would be running about

from head to toe was dirty
we didn’t have a bath
our eyes were very gritty
and water was very scarce

we were living in a severe condition
we didn’t have much money
we were always waiting for a transition
to make life more carefree

now it has come to the end of life
life is hard you see
we got into a lot of strife
and people would just not let me be.
