The Forest

The rainy dark forest outstretched across the vast landscape
rising at every chance.
But the gloomy silence pierced the souls of the bewitched
as they marched through the humidity enriched rainforest.
They whimpered and stumbled, caught and spluttered
in fear for what may arise in their path.
