The sun was rising over the trees
The dew on the grass glistened
The sky was filled with the buzz of some bumble bees
And the almond tree stood tall and still
Waiting for the tiny butterflies to nestle in its branches
Waiting for the warm sun to shine at its fullest
Waiting for the sun
Waiting for the flowers to open
The daisies, poenie roses and tulips
Still in silent slumber
Waiting for the sun
The wind rustled through the almond tree
Its leaves making a soft sound
Whisper, whisper, whisper
Waiting for the sun
Everything was waiting
Waiting for a reason
Waiting, just waiting
Waiting for the sun to rise
Waiting for the sun
