What’s wrong with me?
Am I not as perfect as I thought I was?
Questions we’ve all asked before,
But we all forget that we are never perfect.
We choose to look at ourselves with one eye closed.
We forget the life we have
And instead crave what others have
But we don’t realise that they crave what we have.
When we look at ourselves in the mirror,
Instead of looking at what is inside us, we look at our exterior
When did our physical attributes become the entirety of us?
They weren’t supposed to,
But we live today thinking that we can only look a certain way.
No more, no more will people tolerate this,
Because one step is all it takes to start loving yourself
And start seeing yourself with both eyes open!
